For well over a century, the Veterans of Foreign Wars has carried the torch for veterans.
Every year, every battle, fighting for what veterans have earned.
For justice, for remembrance, for community … for country.
125 years ago, America’s veterans came home from war, wounded and left to fend for themselves.
There was no medical care, no benefits, and often, little hope.
Out of this need for change, one group of veterans banded together, laying the foundation for what would become the VFW.
This year we celebrate 125 years of lasting change made to ensure those who sacrifice for our freedom return to a grateful nation.
